Promises of the Prophecy With Dr. David JeremiahMuestra
Heaven Will Be a Family Reunion
It is hard to paint a picture of heaven that will do it justice. All of God’s faithful will be gathered together with Him in glory. Though our minds are too weak to fully grasp the reward of heaven, the exercise of trying brings joy and peace to even the most tired spirit.
Eternity represents the grandest family reunion one could ever imagine—billions of souls from all nations and all times will meet one another and share in the faith that brought them together. Think about what this means from the perspective of we who are alive today and may be alive on the day of the Rapture. We all have ancestors we know from family records and stories who were believers in Jesus Christ, but whom we never had the chance to see or meet personally. They lived generations before us but were faithful Christians. Well, we who are alive at the Rapture will be united with them “in the clouds” where we will “meet the Lord in the air.”
Second, no family has been spared the loss of someone in this present generation—a parent or grandparent, a spouse, a child, a dear friend. Not a day goes by that we don’t mourn the loss of those we loved and were close to. We know they went to be with the Lord when they died, yet still we dearly miss their presence. Even so, we can take comfort in the truth that a day is coming when we will meet them again in their resurrected bodies.
In heaven we will be with loved ones in Christ. We will not be strangers; we will recognize one another with joy. The faithful living will be joined with the faithful dead. It will be a glorious reunion!
Reflect
Who do you long to see on the other side of this life? What does knowing you will see those people again do for your weary soul?
Pray
Dear Lord, thank You for bringing your devoted together in heaven. I long to be there with the rest of the faithful. Thank You for the hope of life eternal and for the promise of a home with You.

Acerca de este Plan
Though no one but God knows the precise time of Jesus’s return, we are fortunate to have the prophecies of Scripture to prepare us for the times that are ahead. For the next seven days, we will explore some of the truths Scripture holds for us about the Rapture. Based on Dr. David Jeremiah’s book, The Great Disappearance: 31 Ways to Be Rapture Ready.
