Promises of the Prophecy With Dr. David JeremiahMuestra
We Will Fight in the Final Battle
After the Rapture and the seven years of Tribulation, Christ will return once again in what’s referred to as the Second Coming. The rebellion of the Tribulation period will come to a head. The Antichrist, the kings of the earth, and the souls that follow them will gather one last time to try to defeat Jesus Christ. The Beast (the Antichrist), with the false prophet at his side, will lead those massive armies in defying Christ’s authority and right to rule—the ultimate revolt against God. When Christ’s return draws near, they will do everything they can to prepare for the battle of the ages. And they will fail spectacularly.
This battle, the Armageddon, will be unlike anything that’s ever happened or anything to come. Jesus will return in His most glorious form; and as a result, every eye will see His dramatic arrival, and every knee shall bow. But did you also know that Jesus will arrive with armies of His saints—which, if we die in Christ, means you and me? Jude 14 refers to Jesus returning with “thousands upon thousands of his holy ones.” All those who have died in the Lord, along with those who were raptured before the years of the Tribulation, will join with Jesus and participate in the battle to reclaim the world for the rule of Christ.
Liberation will come. We have a Supreme Commander who has never lost a battle, and He is simply waiting for the strategic moment when He will descend and crush forever the forces that have invaded His world. We can rest assured that He will not fail. May we all take heart in knowing that we will be on His side on that momentous day.
Reflect
How does it feel to know that the saints will fight alongside Christ on the day of reckoning? Have you chosen today to be saved by the Lion of Judah—the Son of God who has conquered the whole world?
Pray
Dear Lord, thank You for Your Son. Thank You for His eternal sacrifice, and thank You for my place among the ranks of the saved. I do not take this responsibility lightly. Convict me of my sin, provide me with the strength I need, and remind me each day that I am Yours alone.
