Hope: A Courageous Journey of FaithMuestra
DEVOTION - TODAY'S DISCUSSION
"I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me" (Proverbs 8:17 NIV). God's love for us extends beyond our comprehension, our pain, our anxiety. God wants to be our shephard, the one who leads us every day.
Our circumstances can drive us away from God being our main focus "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:6 NIV)
God's timing is perfect and He uses ordinary people every day to make extraordinary things happen, triumph from tragedy.
So today, cast your worries on Him, He will not fail you! Allow God to guide your day letting Him work out the details so that your focus is His.
FROM "TAYLOR'S GIFT" THE BOOK
Father Alfonse encouraged me to read about Christ’s suffering on the cross so I could understand my own pain. That led me to read about other people who had suffered. I began to pray and read my Bible more, something I had never done regularly. I felt the need to get up early in the morning and spend time reading and praying before I officially started my day.
Often, I returned to the Scriptures late at night as I searched for purpose in my own life. Father Alfonse encouraged me, answered my questions, and comforted me as I tried to find meaning in my suffering. More than anything I wanted to follow God's will.
TODAY'S REFLECTIONS
Are God's blessings in your life today good enough for you, or do you want more now and are not willing to let Him work through you in His time?
Pray today for God to calm your mind and heart so that His blessings can pour through you.
