The Unconditional Love of God ಮಾದರಿ

Day 4: You are loved even when you sin.
Have you ever been tempted to say something that wasn’t true? Have you ever been so angry you said something you shouldn’t have? Have you ever taken something that wasn’t yours?
If so, did your parents stop loving you? ABSOLUTELY NOT! There may have been “results” or what grown-ups call consequences, but their love for you was not affected!
If your parents can love you this way, imagine how much more God does!
Psalm 103:8 says the Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and has superabundant, faithful love. His love for you is even GREATER than your amazing parents’ love. It’s hard to imagine, isn’t it? But, it is the truth. As a matter of fact, the Bible tells us that NOTHING can separate us from God’s love (Romans 8:31-39).
Your parents and God want the best for you. It’s the reason they tell you what you should and shouldn’t do. But just because we know better doesn’t mean we always make the right choice. Thankfully, the Bible tells us what to do in 1 John 1:9 (confess our sins to God because He is faithful to forgive our sins.) After all, that is why Jesus came and paid the price for us to be forgiven.
Activity: Ask your parents if they know God loves them even when they do something wrong. Sometimes we adults need to be reminded.
Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for being willing to pay for my sins. It makes me feel so loved. Help me to make good choices.
