Take a Bowಮಾದರಿ

Have you ever heard someone use an expression like, “I would give my left foot for a cheeseburger right now?” It’s easy to joke about what we would give up in a moment for something we want, but that isn't always simple when it comes to our faith. Jesus calls us to give up our lives to follow Him. At first glance, it sounds like following Jesus comes at an extreme cost. And in some ways, it might! We might have to change what we do, our friends, our choices, and how we live. But what do we get in return? The confidence of choosing the way of Jesus? Well, that’s worth more than anything we might leave behind us.

Today, consider if there’s an area of your life you are holding onto that you know you need to give to Jesus. Take time to pray about it, asking Him to help you let go of it so that you can follow Him in that part of your life too.
