A New Creation in Christ

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come" (2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV).

Whenever we believe in Jesus, several things happen! The Bible says that He saves us and changes us from the inside out! We become a “new creation” with a new heart, a new spirit, and a new life! All of our sins and mistakes are forgiven and we become free to live as the heroes God created us to be. We become people who live by faith, following the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We have a new life in Christ!

Have you ever had a toy that got worn out or broken after a long time? If you couldn’t fix the damage, you likely threw it away or quit playing with it. But what if you could have made it brand new and better than before? That’s what God did to you! Instead of casting you aside because of the damage your sin caused, He made you completely new and gave you eternal life through your faith in Jesus!

Dear God, Thank You for making me new in Christ Jesus. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me a new life! Help me to live each day as a new creation, walking by faith and led by the Holy Spirit. Amen!
