DAY 1: The Drama of a Changed Heart

Have you ever met someone who seems to attract drama wherever they go? The Apostle Paul is one of those people—but his drama was divinely directed. His entire life flipped in a moment when he met Jesus on the road to Damascus. His radical transformation reminds us that the gospel isn’t neat or predictable. It’s often disruptive, uncomfortable, and full of adventure.

Paul’s heart didn’t just shift—it was completely rewired. Everything he’d believed about God and his calling was upended. And right in the middle of Paul’s personal crisis, God invited another man into the story: Ananias.

God asked Ananias to visit Paul and pray for his healing. This wasn’t a feel-good moment. Ananias had real reasons to fear Paul, the infamous persecutor of Christians. Still, Ananias chose to obey God’s whisper. That one act of obedience bridged the gap between a broken man and a divine mission.

Evangelism is rarely a solo effort. God’s supernatural work almost always flows through human hands—through people like Ananias who are willing to risk discomfort to extend mercy. Our faith is not just personal; it’s relational. Ananias became the bridge for Paul’s healing and future ministry.

Even more stunning is the message Jesus gave Paul: “Why are you persecuting me?” Not “my people,” but “me.” This reminds us that the Church is Christ’s body. Hurting one another hurts Him. Loving one another honours Him.

Ananias is often overlooked, but he models something powerful. He listened, responded, and walked in relationship with God and people. His willingness to obey changed everything. And it can be the same for us. You might not know the full story of who you’re reaching—but God does. Your obedience could be the key to unlocking someone else’s purpose.
