ReBuild: 10 Ways Worship And Leadership Can Restore Broken LivesExemplo
We have a tendency to see leadership as it’s referred to by a title: Pastor, Manager, CEO, Principal. We let an external label determine who we are and what authority we have. There’s nothing wrong with a title; in fact, titles are necessary for organization and give us a way of determining who’s earned the right to be the final say on issues and initiatives. When we let a title define our worth, and not just our position, we begin to give that title power over us that it was never designed to have.
A good leader knows they are a leader even when their title does not reflect it. They know that their impact on others is strong and that they were wired to influence and serve the people around them regardless of whether they’re given a legitimate platform for their leadership. Leaders who happen to have titles reflective of their calling don’t let those titles limit them or scare them to the point of holding others back from reaching their potential or fulfilling their calling, too.
You’ve been called by God to impact the hurting people in your sphere of influence, no matter what size that is. You’re a part of a holy nation, a kingdom of leaders, and your power to change the world isn’t limited to your title. Today, think of ways you can reach out to the people God’s placed in your life and be a positive influence.
