Breathe

Breathing is an involuntary action. We read in scripture that the breath of God carries power—it creates, brings life, and also brings understanding.

The dandelion is a small, fragile plant. When we blow on it, the seeds take flight riding on currents that take them to new places. They travel exclusively for the sake of multiplication. Wherever they land, new plants will spring up.

Likewise, in the Kingdom of God we receive blessings and gifts to pour them out to others. When God breathes on us, He can multiply our gifts to bless others for the sake of His Kingdom.

Jesus said: "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

This begins with the breath of God. Imagine the power the breath of God could have when it blows on the hopes and dreams that we have been carrying,  causing them to 'fly' and multiply for the blessing of others.

Today, do we dare give our dreams back to God—ask for His perfect breath on them? Can we choose to not fight against the situations He is bringing us through and to become those who 'overcome' by resting and trusting in Him?
