Declutter Now! 30 Day DevotionalExemplo
Devaluing the Dollar, Intentionally!
Some people say, ‘Love makes the world go round.’ Others say it’s ‘money’. We’ll stick with love.
If left up to the world’s desires, we would be controlled by money. And in actuality, to some degree we are. We need to pay for housing, food, and clothing. Money is required for monthly expenses such as like electricity and water. We even need money for entertainment, hobbies, and school. But, we are also brainwashed by the false sense of security money will provide and the promise of happiness it will bring. These are nothing more than lies.
Money, in and of itself, does no such things. In fact, often the opposite is born from infatuation with the almighty dollar. The obsession for money has destroyed lives, families, careers, reputations, and more.
Kept in the appropriate context, and used for good, money can be beneficial, but abused and coveted, it becomes the means to an almost certain demise.
Solomon spoke to this very concept over 3000 years ago sharing that he who has money never has enough, and he who loves money is never satisfied. We would venture to say that this wisdom remains as true today as it did back then.
Keep a biblical perspective on money and reduce your dependence to a minimum.
What will you declutter? Financial debt, the lure of distracting, unimportant worldly desires, personal ruin, and destruction of family and career.
