Above The CloudsExemplo
Hazy Visions
Have you ever been on an airplane or stood atop a tall mountain? I’m talking about looking out at a view that is so high up that when you look down all you can see are clouds. You can’t make out people, towns, or even landscapes. Everything just looks hazy. Sometimes we have to reposition ourselves further down on the mountain to cle.rly see our neighbors. We have to move to a place where instead of guiding them from a distance, we are walking in the trenches with them. Instead of just giving good advice or even Godly advice we step down from our comfortable view and mourn with those who mourn. We choose to pray with them in person, not later, but now! We choose to become vulnerable and feel their emotions, cry with them, wrestle while they wrestle, and fight side by side with them to overcome their mountain because we know the joy that awaits them!
Focus: What can you do today that is more than just a surface-level spiritual action? How can you take a step out in faith and instead of going through the motions actually relate and mourn with someone who is mourning? Guidance is such a powerful tool, but sometimes being relatable, vulnerable, and throwing away our comfortability can show the tangibility of God’s love.

Sobre este plano
Above The Clouds is a devotional intended for those whose life is going well right now. While we celebrate our victories on the mountain top we can lose sight of our neighbors in the valley. I pray this devotional encourages you to refocus your eyes, even when life is good, so that we may continue to love people the way Jesus does—even if that means coming down from above the clouds.
