Worship the King

The shepherds wanted to see with their own eyes what the angels had told them. So, they ran to Bethlehem and when they found Mary, Joseph, and the baby in the manger, they glorified and praised God. They also shared the great news with others. 

During our lives we’ll go through different seasons. I've had seasons that were happy, sad, scary, emotional … the list is endless. Honestly, praising God and giving Him glory has not been at the top of my list in some of those seasons. It was easy to praise Him when things went right. But when things were difficult, praise didn't come easily from my lips. 

I've had to learn to praise God in every situation. When things don´t go as I wish, when the unexpected comes, when money is tight or marriage gets hard. When my kids cry themselves to sleep after a bad day or a broken heart shows up at my door, I don´t feel like praising God – but I do it anyway. 

1 Corinthians 10:31 says “whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Whether you feel good or bad, whether things are easy or difficult, whether the sun shines or heavy rain doesn't allow you see the sky, there´s always a reason to praise God: the birth of His Son! We celebrate His coming. We celebrate Christmas. We praise the Lord with all our hearts. 

Dear Father, I praise You and worship You with all my heart, all my soul and all my strength. Help me worship You all situations and remember that Jesus´ sacrifice is enough to make me praise Your name every day of my life. Amen.
