Leadership AwakeningExemplo
Rise Again
Dr. Edwin Louis Cole, the founder of the Christian Men’s Network, said, “Champions are not those who never fail, but those who never quit.”
My dear reader, it is never too late to rise again. We have so many examples and testimonies in the Bible of people who continued their race even after failing. Think about Peter, who had said that he would never deny the Lord. Some hours later, he found himself denying Jesus and crying bitterly. And what about Jonah? God had to send a whale to carry him to go to preach to Nineveh! Have you failed the Lord? Let me tell you that you are not the only one. Rise again.
The ultimate example we find in the Word of God is Jesus. He refused to quit, and pressed on to fulfill His mission even though it cost Him everything. He endured the cross after being abandoned by all of his friends and disciples. He rose again! He defeated our ultimate enemy, death. He conquered the grave to give us hope and a future!
Even if you’ve grievously departed from your high calling in Christ, the Bible says that you can “rise again” (Proverbs 24:16). You can bounce back from failure and frustration, having even more influence than you’ve ever had before.
There is a grandstand full of heroes of the faith who are cheering you on to victory (Hebrews 12:1). Through faith, they finished their races well, and now it’s your turn. Align yourself with God’s purposes. Pick yourself up. Stop looking at your past and your failures. Set your mind, thoughts, and eyes upon Jesus. He is the author and perfecter of our faith. He is the reason why you and I have access to the mercy-seat (Hebrews 9:3–5).
This is your time to run to win. This is your time to rise and shine. There are so many people out there waiting for you to stand up, start running again, and finish the race well.
After World War II, Winston Churchill visited Harrow School, his alma mater, and made some remarks: “Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in…” What would have happened if he had given in during World War II? How different would the world be today?
Provoke-A-Thought:
How different would our lives be if Christ had not risen? Today, choose not to quit. Do not give up. Keep running and running well. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. We are in desperate need of a leadership awakening!

Leaders get into trouble because they neglect fundamental truths and basic spiritual disciplines. God did not just call us to start the race, He wants us to finish well. Our success or failure as leaders will be determined by how well we executed the basics of the Christian life. The example and the legacy you leave sets the pace for a new generation of champions, impacting the world for Jesus.
