Reading the Bible in Historical Sequence Part 10Exemplo
In Nazareth Jesus is almost killed for saying He is fulfilling Is 61:1. He leaves to live in Capernaum fulfilling Isaiah 9:1–2. He teaches in the synagogues, gathers disciples and heals many sick people (again fulfilling prophecy). He dismisses evil spirits, teaches from a boat and provides a huge catch of fish.
Note Luke 4:44: Jesus is in Galilee so ‘synagogues of Judea’ probably should be read as ‘synagogues of the Jews’ or ‘synagogues of the Judean Jews’ who were very strict.
