Identity CrisisExemplo
Your Identity Is Not In Their Words
You’ve probably heard this saying growing up, “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” This phrase is often used as a defense mechanism against the hurtful words spoken against someone but in honesty, words have power. When someone declares over another person words of positivity, love, and endearment a manifestation occurs. Similarly, when words are used to negatively berate, disrespect, and mistreat someone those words can potentially take root in one’s mind and become evident in one’s actions, behavior, and thoughts. Words go back to someone’s childhood, a traumatic experience or a challenging season where someone spoke words of defeat, hate, discord, slander, and or death over you or a loved one. A lot of people live according to the negative, hurtful, regressive, hateful words someone projected on them or their situation. Right now is the time to declare God’s word over you, your family, and your situation and boldly reject the lying words from the enemy. Your identity is not in the lies that others disrespectfully stated concerning you. Your identity is in the truth of God’s loving affirming words HE declared over you before the foundations of the world.
So, if someone said, You are good for nothing, reject the lie and declare God’s word about you. God’s word declares that you are a masterpiece, created in Christ to do good things that HE planned for you long ago.
They said you are a loser. Reject the lie. God said that he leads us along in Christ’s triumphal procession.
They said you are trash. Reject the lie. God said you are chosen, precious, holy, a royal priesthood, and honored in his sight.
They said you are a trouble maker. Reject the lie. God said you are strong and courageous.
They said you are a statistic. Reject the lie. God said you are set apart
They said you are a failure. Reject the lie. God said you are righteous and even when you fall you rise again.
They said you are a reject, outcast and you don’t belong. Reject the lie. God said that you are His, We are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
No longer allow words that don’t align with God’s word to become your identity. Your identity is in God’s word. Align your words to life, purpose, and promise.
