Men-pleasers.
“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10 KJV
Choose to serve Christ. What’s the motive of your heart? Are you looking to please men or are you looking to serve God? Choose to serve and honor God. Choose to serve Christ. Are you seeking the approval of man? Or are you looking to obey God? Choose to faithfully serve Christ. Even in the midst of adversity — choose to serve Christ. Allow Christ to break the yoke of pleasing people from off of your life. Choose to surrender to Christ’s Way of doing things. Even if it’s not popular — choose to serve God in every aspect of your life.
Galatians 1:10 NLT declares, “Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” Are you a slave to man’s opinion? Or a servant of Christ? You choose. Make the decision to serve and honor Christ with all of your mind, heart and soul. Man’s approval is temporary. God’s approval is eternal.
Choose to submit to and obey the Word of God. Let His Word break the chains of pleasing people from off of your life. Let His Word break the yoke of rejection. Choose not to make people your lord. Man is temporary. God is eternal. Choose to serve the True and Faithful God.
Galatians 1:10 AMPC declares, “Now am I trying to win the favor of men, or of God? Do I seek to please men? If I were still seeking popularity with men, I should not be a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah).” There is no bondage in Christ. Let the worship of man go. Choose to Worship God. Redirect your focus. Don’t let the opinion of people, weigh on your heart. Don’t let the approval of people, lord over your heart. Choose to surrender to God. Let Christ Lord over every aspect of your life.
