We’re so glad you chose to read through Numbers. A lot of people avoid it simply because of the name. But Numbers is not about numbers. It reads more like an action movie. This book tells the story of Israel wandering in the wilderness after refusing to enter the Promised Land. 

This book has a great and difficult story to tell you about humanity’s tendency toward sin and the purity of God’s holiness. But Numbers also shows us some truly stunning pictures of Jesus that can change your life forever. 

At Spoken Gospel, we believe that you can encounter Jesus on every page of Scripture - yes, even the Old Testament. It is our hope that, over the next 22 days, you will see the story of Numbers like you have never seen it before. 

Throughout your journey, you will read a total of 36 chapters, taking you all the way through the book of Numbers. Along your journey, you will read 17 devotionals.

Today you will watch an introduction we at Spoken Gospel have made to the book of Numbers. Then you’ll read the opening verses of Numbers. 

Tomorrow you will read the opening census from which Numbers gets its name. Don’t let that deter you. Tomorrow will also be your first devotional, which will show you what is happening in the census and how it points us to Jesus.
