7 Days of Praise: Praying Through Psalm 150 Exemplo
Day 5 – A Crescendo of Praise
In praying through Psalm 150, we see a symphony come together to praise God’s great name. Included is the trumpet, lute, and harp (150:3) as well as tambourine, strings, and pipe (150:4). Joining these instruments are cymbals: “Praise Him with sounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals!” (150:5).
Father God, with each crash of the cymbals, may we be reminded of who You are and what You do—You are the One True God, Creator of Heaven and Earth! You hold all things together by Your great might! And You loved mankind so much that You sent Your one and only Son, Jesus, to be our Savior, Redeemer, and Lord!

As we praise God today, let's keep in mind the heavenly worship service we'll one day take part in: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain . . . !” (see Revelation 5:11-12). Here's how we praise, says Charles Spurgeon: “We simply say what [God] is! ‘You are this and You are that.’ There is no other praise.” Why not invite friends and family to “join the chorus” with you?
