GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 5 - CAREExemplo
April 2—God of the Storm, Part 2
Read
Matthew 14:22-33
Reflect
In what ways do you identify with the disciples in the boat when they saw Jesus and thought that he was a ghost? What does it take to get out of the boat as Peter did? Often we criticize Peter’s lack of faith, but it took courage for him to take that first step. What first step do you need to take in your present life situation? Will Jesus be there if you falter and feel overwhelmed by the challenges of life? How do you know? What should be our reaction when the storms of life calm down?
Engage
Reread the Scripture passage. You’ve now read it two days in a row. Does anything stand out to you differently than it did yesterday? Consider the ENGAGE questions again. Don’t be afraid of the repetition. We learn more about God each time we read and reread his Word.
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, 1 Peter 4:11. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

Sobre este plano
When believers are serving the least, the last and the lost, we can easily forget the final goal. Christians are called to care about all suffering, but we must never forget the particular emphasis we have regarding eternal suffering. As Christians we must always keep in mind that the ultimate goal is the salvation of sinners to the glory of God.
