Easter: If the Grave Could TalkExemplo
You will be Alone Forever
When I think of death, two things scare me the most: the unknown and being alone. Starting at a young age, most of us hated being alone. I grew up in a large family with three sisters and a brother. I am the baby. Don’t judge me. I loved being with my sisters, but I hated going into my room at night as a young kid, because I didn’t want to be alone. Even today, my own kids try and convince me to let them sleep in our bed, because they don’t want to be alone. But even as we get older, we have a fear of being alone, don’t we? When was the last time you felt alone? The last time you felt like nobody cared about you? The last time a birthday or holiday went by and you didn’t receive a phone call or text message? What a terrible feeling. If the grave could talk, it would say, “You will be alone forever.”
But then there is Jesus, the man who defeated the grave. The savior of the world who promised to never leave us or forsake us. He has committed to be by our side forever. As you choose to follow Jesus, you sign up for a lifelong friend that will be by your side forever, even after death. Jesus will fight on your behalf. Jesus will carry you through. Jesus has a unique promise for you and me as we walk through our lives His grave says, “You will never have to be alone again!”
PRAY: “Jesus, I need you now more than ever. I want to feel your presence in me and around me. Carry me through the tough times. Thank you for being by my side forever.”
Sobre este plano
We all have a common denominator. We will die. I will die. You will die. Death will defeat you. You won’t be able to dodge it, sidestep it, trick it or make it disappear. But then there is Jesus, the man who defeated the grave. Jesus stood toe to toe with the grave and defeated death. When Jesus talks, the grave speaks.
