Postures Of Advent: A Daily Christmas DevotionalExemplo
Check in with your heart today as you enter into the Christmas season.
It can be a season where the joys and sorrows of the past year or even the present moment can feel heightened.
Perhaps you are carrying loss into this season loss of a loved one, a job, or a way of life. Perhaps you are carrying victory over disease, addiction, or a long-held goal; perhaps uncertainty about the future, a relationship, or a move; maybe hope for new life, freedom, or a simmering idea; maybe you are carrying a little bit of everything.
Whatever it is, Jesus cares about it.
Peter, in his letter, tells us to cast all our anxiety on God because He cares.
The psalmist invites us to cast our cares on the Lord with the promise that He will sustain us.
What you carry is not something to set aside as you fix your eyes on Jesus. It is something to bring to Him as you worship.
Reflections:
- What are you carrying with you into this season?
- How can you take it with you into your worship?
- How will it shape the way you worship, and how can you bring it to Jesus, allowing Him to shape and transform it?
As you cast your cares and bring them before our loving Lord, He will care for you and sustain you.
