ResoluteExemplo
Be resolute to seek God to move
For several years now I've had a growing sense we are on the precipice of a great move of God.
In the summer of 2019, my friend Malachi called me on the phone and told me, “I think God is calling us to call 1 million young people to fast and pray in the Roaring Twenties”. We did call for this, and the response was absolutely amazing. Many fasted with us, and this was before any of us realized 2020 would become a year in history like none other from a global pandemic, to racial unrest, to a divided election, to the shutting down of churches.
The sense of urgency for many believers has risen to new levels. Many believe we must call for fasting and prayer with even greater resolve than ever before. The urgency of our time calls for people with a resolute desperation for God to move.
I, and many I have talked to, still sense the 2020’s, or the “Roaring Twenties” will be known for a great move of God as the “Lion of the Tribe of Judah” roars His glory.
But, like Daniel in the Bible, we need to be resolute in seeking God to move in our world. We need to let the urgency we feel with all of the problems in our world lead us to a resolute desperation to seek God to move.
Daniel 10:12 says, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.”
This is such a powerful passage of Scripture. God says to Daniel that from the very moment he began to pray, He began to move. As Daniel continue to pray, God moved in response to his words and then showed up on his behalf. Daniel kept praying until He heard from the Lord. Daniel set his mind. He was resolute to seek God to move on his behalf. We need this same resolve today, not only to pray but to keep on praying until we hear from God.
