His Mighty Strength (Randy Frazee)Exemplo
The mountains we face are not moved by our own might or power, but by God’s Spirit within us. We don’t accomplish feats of great power in the Christian life by trying harder but by yielding harder to the will of God. It is only under these conditions that the Spirit, who could easily move a physical mountain, goes to work to tear down the metaphorical mountains or obstacles in our lives.
Sadly, it sometimes takes a lifetime for most of us to really understand this truth. The yoke of Jesus is not burdensome but easy (Matthew 11:30). To experience it, we have to abandon ourselves completely to his plan. Without conditions, we unclench our fists and open them up to receive God’s will. Then we step back and wait to see how God accomplishes on earth what we thought could only be achieved in heaven . . . right in our lives.
How will we rise from powerlessness? How will we ascend above the circumstances that hold us down? How will we overcome the mountain of obstacles in front of us? How will we either level the miles of rock that stand in our way or scale to the top of them and achieve the very purpose for which we were placed on this earth? Dynamite! We will do so through the same power that raised Jesus from the dead—the Holy Spirit who rests on his followers.
