Walk Fit. Walk Worthy.

Our Commitment

My fitness journey began with a dare. Her life-changing challenge was simply to walk 30 minutes a day for 100 days. Somewhere around day 40, I fell in love with walking. It’s a simple weight-bearing exercise designed to protect our bone density and help maintain our muscle mass as we age. Walking is part of a healthy lifestyle, not a one-time action. Our relationship with God is also a load-bearing activity that is part of a healthy spiritual lifestyle.

Jesus said that His followers are to carry crosses. He tells us, "If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me."

Our daily task as followers of Christ is to take up our cross. That means we have to lift and experience the weight of it. Worthiness is weighty. Walking worthy of Christ is part of our calling and responsibility.

Too often, we separate our lives into worldly and spiritual categories. And yet, as believers, God is in all of our endeavors. We walk worthy when we bear the weight of Christ’s plan, purpose, and righteousness.

As we follow His example in our relationship with God, we will see a lifestyle unfold—a lifestyle found through sharing His pain, enduring challenges, and honoring our commitment to His way of life.

As we walk fit and walk worthy, we invest time, pondering, and prayer, walking our way to a deeper level of connection with Christ.

Are you ready to go deeper? Ok, let’s walk it out!

Prayer Walking: As you walk, ponder His cross. Think about how much it weighed. Pray for the strength to take up your cross and walk worthy of Him. As you pray, take time to listen as God whispers to your heart while you consider His mandate for you.
