Stay-at-Home Dad (Or Mom): Find Yourself AgainExemplo
Day 2: Say No and Regain Your Sanity
Are you overtired? Is the baby not sleeping well? Are you and your spouse arguing over petty things? The underlying issue may simply be your calendar.
You don’t have to say yes to everything. You’ll go nuts trying to keep up with the pressures of every gathering, every Zoom webinar, every “once in a lifetime” opportunity. Slow life down and allow time for your family to regroup.
The key to regaining your sanity is to establish a routine for your family. Routines keep life sane and bring peace and stability to your home and your child. They take the pressure off of feeling like you have to say yes to everything.
You don’t have to do it all. Give yourself permission to say no with a routine that works well for your home.
Actionable Insight: Consider a "mission statement" for your family
It can be as simple as "We're going to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength all the days of our lives." Set this in your hearts, and it will guide you through all your decisions now and as your child grows.
