The Mind Of The FleshExemplo
The Peace of God.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 KJV
Let the Peace of God keep your heart. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for, ‘Keep’ found in Philippians 4:7 KJV, is ‘phroureō’ (G5432) which means, “To guard, to protect by guarding, to keep.” Let His Peace guard your heart. Let His Peace protect your mind. Choose to establish your life around the Peace of God.
Judges 6:24 KJV declares, “Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah–shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi–ezrites.” It was in this moment when Gideon chose Peace. Gideon chose to build an altar of Peace instead of bowing to fear. What are you building your life upon? What are you bowing to? Are you building your life on peace, faith, or fear? Build upon Christ.
The Amplified Version expounds upon Judges 6:24 AMPC in the following manner, “Then Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and called it, The Lord is Peace. To this day it still stands in Ophrah, which belongs to the Abiezrites.” Gideon chose to declare that the “Lord is Peace”. Even when things around him were in turmoil, Gideon chose to declare that the “Lord is Peace”.
Choose to declare that the Lord is Peace. When everyone around Gideon had a mind of the flesh—Gideon chose to focus on the significance of God. Gideon chose to build an altar of Peace when everyone around him chose to bow to fear. You have the choice...you can either build upon the Peace of Christ or you can be crushed by the fears and cares of this world.
