Saved by God, the Story of Noah and the Great FloodExemplo
Noah serves God
“Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.” (Genesis 6:9)
Genesis 6 has outlined the dramatic state of the earth: people are “only evil continually”. And then suddenly we read about a man, Noah. He is described as a righteous, blameless man who walked with God. He was the only one who did not participate in the evil and violence. He stood apart from the rest because he lived with God. And apparently, he did not crawl away in a corner but stood up for his faith, for the apostle Peter characterizes him as “a herald of righteousness” (2 Peter 2:5).
The Bible tells of another man who thought he was the only one left to serve God. That was the prophet Elijah. He felt alone and afraid and retreated to the desert. But God told him that there were still 7,000 faithful believers left. And He sent Elijah out again.
Do you live in a Christian environment, or do you also feel alone? Do you stand out because you serve God and are true to Him, or do you prefer to hide your faith from others?
