Bouncing Back From Failure

Dia 2 de 5

Come Back With Transparency.

God already knows about the choices we made, what we said, and how we feel. Scripture tells us over and over again how deeply and completely we are known (and loved) by the Father. He sees it all, and He is right next to us through it all. Our next move is not to nod like we both know, are on the same page, and can simply carry on. We have an invitation to share our heart with God, not because He doesn’t already know it but because we don’t know His response. Opening our hearts and confessing what we’ve done gives Him access to pour more of Himself into us. Proverbs 28 reminds us how it opens us up to mercy, and it’s how we prosper.

Bringing our heart, our confession, and our feelings leads to freedom and breakthrough for ourselves and for those around us. James 5:16 says to “confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” While it may feel like the best thing to do is keep your failures under wraps, the best thing you can do when you’re bouncing back from failure is to not shy away from talking about it. You’ve been forgiven and set free, and your testimony about how you’ve made it to the other side will not only edify your own spirit but it will bring hope and encouragement to those around you.

Is there something you’re holding back for fear of what will happen once you confess? Remember how you’ve already been forgiven by the only One who has the right to judge you. Be honest with Him, tell Him what’s been going on and how you feel, and let Him lead you into what’s next.
