Easter and Its Impact on Business TodayExemplo
The final incredible act to rid the nation of corruption was the sacrifice of Jesus Himself through the crucifixion on Good Friday. This event in itself was highly symbolic. However, today we will examine the veil’s significance in the temple, torn in two at the exact time of Jesus’ death.
This was the veil to the Holy of Holies, whereby the High Priest went in alone once per year to make supplication for the Jewish nation.
Because the High Priest would go in alone, he could say exactly what he wanted in terms of God’s instructions to the nation for the new year. From here, the High Priest could, for example, come out and say, “God told me to ramp up the taxes and charge more.”
As we have already discussed, there was rampant corruption throughout the religious elite. So, when the veil was torn, the priests lost their power because the High Priest could never be alone in the Holy of Holies again. The newly created covenant abolished the requirement for the corrupted animal sacrificial system. Instead, it gave the people a direct avenue to the Father. They could get forgiven, healed, and ministered to – all for free.
In essence, the tearing of the veil returned the choice to the people. This meant choosing between an allegiance to assets or money or allegiance to God.
Before this, there was no choice. You were required to make sacrifices through a corrupted system, driven by greed and self-centeredness, no matter what you did. Jesus completely blew this system out of the water and placed the choice back into the hands of the individual.
Therefore, the crucifixion of Jesus defeated this insidious culture and created an avenue for us to go directly to the Father and bypass this system of animal sacrifice, which was severely corrupted by greed and self-centeredness.
We can seek God’s wisdom and direction in the modern marketplace. Therefore, we can go straight to the source (the Lord) and receive instructions on following God’s will and way. And this is one of the reasons why we must prioritize our relationship with the Lord.

Over the next five days, we will journey through the various events of Easter. This will not be a traditional Easter message taught in the Church but will specifically explore how Jesus addressed the rampant greed and corruption throughout First Century Palestine and how YOU can practically apply Jesus’ strategies Monday morning in the marketplace.
