Church in the WildExemplo
We are in Unity
How uncertain would those first believers have felt as they waited for the next big thing God was going to do? But they were in it together. When the Day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together because they had continued to gather together, to share and care for each other while they waited.
This is the key to the church's strength today: to gather in unity and together be empowered by the Holy Spirit as we move with God’s timing.
The great day of Pentecost in Acts 2 focuses on what all this is for: to spread the gospel. The disciples are transformed from a group of fishermen and ordinary folk into powerful preachers. This is the key to the church's strength today: to gather in unity and together be empowered by the Holy Spirit as we move with God’s timing.
When we gather, lives are renewed, and the process of spiritual transformation (2Co3:16-18) is encouraged and imparted again. The gathered church empowers God’s called-out people for another week of life and mission in the world.
Our Sunday churches are about gathering together in unity, encouraging one another, fellowshipping with one another, worshipping God together, celebrating all he has done in our lives, and being empowered to go out again. The purpose of the church is not the church but to bring life and reconciliation to the world.
When the church ‘scatters,’ the real mission of the church begins. If the church meets for an hour a week, for the other 167 hours, the church is still alive and active, but not within the four walls of the church building, in the homes, offices, schools, cafes, and streets of our communities.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." - Acts 1:8
Prayer Point: Heavenly Father, thank you for the Church you have placed me in. Thank you, Father, that our Sunday services are a time of celebration of all you have done, worship, and empowerment. I pray that you would continue to gather people into our congregation that need the community around them to love on them and encourage them. I pray specifically for _____ that you would gather them into the community of God. Thank you, Lord, that we are empowered in the gathering for the ‘go’ moments from Monday to Saturday.
Sobre este plano
This plan is to empower you in your ministry. We want you to feel equipped and anointed to walk in the purpose of God every day of the week, not just on Sundays. Watch as we delve into the books of Luke and Acts and see how ministry belongs in the hands of the people. We are all called to make a difference as a Church in the Wild.
