Be Still: 15 Days With God Exemplo
PERFECT PEACE
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. ISAIAH 26:3
As believers, our citizenship is in heaven! But while here on earth, we are living in enemy-occupied territory. This world is hostile towards God. And daily, the believer battles the world, the flesh, and the devil. But the Lord gives His people the perfect solution—protective walls to deal with the onslaught against our souls and perfect peace. We can have peace, assurance, and rest because we know all the tumult around us is temporary as our hearts and minds stay on God.
The word “mind” here is interesting in Hebrew. Whereas in other places, the mind is generally associated with the heart, here it means a “frame” or “a thing framed.” The framework is what Isaiah is saying.
The Lord wants us to have a framework, or an outlook, that is stayed upon Him and His purposes, His plan. One that says, “Not my will Lord, but Your will be done.” In surrendering control, we find peace.

"Be still, and know that I am God;" (PSALM 46:10a). Many Christians are familiar with this verse, but do we really understand it? This exhortation applies when we are distracted by our successes, as when we are fearful and disquieted by some troublesome news. We need to learn to quiet ourselves by opening God’s Word and gaining His perspective in both cases.
