Be Still: 15 Days With God Exemplo
LORD, I LOOK TO YOU
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up. PSALM 5:3
David addresses the Lord in Psalm 5 as “My King and My God.” He knew the One he was addressing. See, real prayer is a just conversation with your Creator!
In the morning, before you do anything, do you direct your thoughts to God? You have to rivet them towards the Lord because, by osmosis, it will never happen. You will get up in the morning, see yourself, and forget about everything else. And in yourself, that is such emptiness.
Direct your thoughts higher than yourself. Direct your thoughts to your Creator, who knows you and already has the day planned! How much better it would go for you! Get up in the morning and say, “Lord, I’m going to look to you!” and then let Him lead you through the day.

"Be still, and know that I am God;" (PSALM 46:10a). Many Christians are familiar with this verse, but do we really understand it? This exhortation applies when we are distracted by our successes, as when we are fearful and disquieted by some troublesome news. We need to learn to quiet ourselves by opening God’s Word and gaining His perspective in both cases.
