Heaven Rules Exemplo
Your Life Speaks
“Your God,” Nebuchadnezzar said to Daniel, after the king’s dream had been revealed and interpreted to him “is indeed God of gods, Lord of kings” (Dan. 2:47). I can’t think of anything I’d rather hear said to me by an unbeliever.
I want my witness for Christ to be such that those who don’t know Him would be compelled to say, “I want your God to be my God.” Wouldn’t you love that yourself? We want our lives to be a winsome, walking testimony of His goodness and greatness.
You know what? Believing and living as if Heaven rules can take care of that for us.
You and I will never lack opportunities to share and live out our witness, demonstrating what’s different about a person who follows our God, and making His reality difficult for others to refute. The Lord will make sure of this, simply in the flow of
His rule in your life. And if you’ll start each day already certain that you’ll give Him your worship when those difficult moments come, no matter how you’re challenged or how you feel, your testimony to your God will speak volumes. That can begin for you today.
All these opportunities God gives us—the little challenges, the little interruptions, the everyday moments when we must choose to obey or to compromise, to complain or accept, to give Him grief or give Him honor—they’re building something in us. They’re strengthening the resolve of our relationship with Him. They’re solidifying the reality in our hearts that Heaven rules—in all places, at all times. So when we face an even harder test, our hearts will be prepared to give testimony even there.
When we worship and serve God alone; when we refuse to bow to earthly kings, powers, ideologies, and systems; when we refuse to allow interruptions, inconveniences, and unwelcome circumstances to bury us in frustration and self-pity, we set the stage. We open the door for God’s power and glory to shine through. We cooperate with Him in lighting a path so that even those who’ve rejected or marginalized Him may see that He truly is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
