Seasons of Life: The DevotionalExemplo
Break Free from Strongholds: A Season of Change
Change is inevitable. Sometimes, the invitation to change can expose the symptoms of the spirit of fear. Whether you fear failure (not achieving a particular goal) or fear of success (not knowing what is on the other side of your obedience to God), you must do the work to get the root to overcome the fear.
During seasons of change, we must learn to give ourselves grace. If we aren’t aware, the environments, people, and other things around us can attempt to woo or convince us back to the old ways of doing things. Years ago, I came across some research that suggested a person cannot get rid of old and unhealthy habits that no longer serve the individual. The study revealed that we can override old, unhealthy habits with new ones (National Institute of Health, 2012).
Navigating through a season of change requires you to take an inventory of your current way of thinking about your response to the change occurring in your life. In Luke 13:5 (AMP), we learn unless we repent [change our old way of thinking, turn from our sinful ways, and live changed lives] we will all likewise perish. Even when your circumstances change, consider what it might cost you if you’re unwilling to embrace change.

Sobre este plano
Our life experiences have defined us for far too long. Instead, we can choose to acknowledge them, learn from them, and allow them to serve as stepping stones as we become the women God has predestined us to be. Author and educator, A. Margot Blair, invites us on a journey to find freedom in Christ, break free from strongholds, and grow in spiritual maturity.
