When I(n) DoubtExemplo

When I(n) Doubt

Dia 5 de 7

How hungry are you really? 🍣

What is your favorite food? Mine is sushi! But during the COVID crisis, my regular restaurant had two extended closures. Oh, how I missed those delicious California rolls! Every day, I thought about what it would be like to eat them again.

Isn't it funny how much our thoughts can get wrapped up in something so mundane?

When the restaurant finally reopened, I actually found myself not thinking about eating there at all. In fact, I rarely went to get my beloved sushi! When I drove by the restaurant, I just rejoiced that I could go if I did get the craving.

I find myself treating my faith life similarly from time to time. Sometimes God seems so distant to me, and it upsets me, but if I feel like I've drawn close to Him, through a great church service, for example, or a miracle that happened in my life, my mindset may shift again. Knowing that He's "always there," I can start to get complacent. I may not feel desperate for Him right away, so I just "drive-by" without spending quality time with Him.

There's something very reassuring about just knowing that something IS possible. However, when it comes to faith, I truly believe that embracing the possible precedes experiencing the impossible.

What does it mean to "embrace the possible”? It means to nourish your faith daily—through prayer and reading the Bible, for example!

What if God has really prepared more for you than you've perceived so far? Could it be that you're not experiencing the impossible because you haven't done the possible first?

If so, you have an amazing opportunity today to turn it around! :-)

"'LORD God, You stretched out Your mighty arm and made the sky and the earth. You can do anything.'" (Jeremiah 32:17, CEV)

Yes, God wants to make the impossible possible in your life. :-)

You are a miracle!
