Kari Jobe: Heal Our LandExemplo
Heal Our Land
So, God we pray to You
Humble ourselves again
Lord, would You hear our cry
Lord, will You heal our land
That every eye will see
That every heart will know
The One who took our sin
The One who died and rose
And when Your kingdom comes
And when at last You call
We'll rise to worship You alone
Whenever I take a moment to think of God’s heart and how He sees things — how He desires to return for us and remove all pain and sickness in our lives — it fills my soul with hope.
I touched on this in the second devotional, but when His Kingdom comes, when at last He calls, what a glorious moment that will be. And until then, I want my life to reflect His love, grace, and every aspect of His perfect character. I want to pull His Kingdom into today and live in all that He promised we could experience even now.
Is that your aspiration as well? Because no matter what your vocation may be, we are all called to represent a different Kingdom than the one here on earth — to draw near to Christ and become more and more like Him.
In the end, it’s His cause that must prevail over the cares and concerns that this world may try to push onto us.
Yes, life won’t always be easy. But the One who took your sin, the One who died and rose for your salvation, is calling you unto Himself. His desire is to heal what’s broken and mend what’s shattered…
Whether it’s a relationship, a health diagnosis, a situation in your workplace, or an addiction you can’t seem to escape…
He’s right there with you. And He is calling you to partner with Him and become that light and hope to the world around you.
And as you humble yourself in worship, He’s going to meet you. He’s a good Father and our closest friend. So let’s join together continually in prayer, that He would come and heal our land.
