HERO | A Children's Book Connecting Jesus' Ministry To ElishaExemplo
Jesus has done so many miracles, including healing a blind man, just like Elisha had done. Greater still, everyone over the last few days talks about how Jesus had raised some guy named Lazarus from the dead. Jesus is famous, a hero. You’d think that people would love him, but people actually are starting to hate him. My family hates him, all of them that is, except for me and Saba. They say that this man is a false teacher. They are angry that he calls himself the “I AM,” when in fact, only Yahweh can be called the “I AM.” They say that Jesus is claiming to be God.
Everyone tells stories about Jesus. After all, Jesus is the one who turned water into wine and said, “I am the vine.” He healed the nobleman’s son and said, “I AM the way the truth and the life.” He even healed the man at Bethsaida, saying later, “I AM the Good Shepherd.”
I watched him feed the people with my bread, and he said, “I AM the bread of life.” I saw him walk on the sea as the “I AM.” He gave a blind man sight and said, “I AM the light,” and raised Lazarus from the dead. This man has to be the new King, the Messiah.
Sobre este plano
John's gospel can be broken into four parts: an Introduction (John 1:-1:18), the Book of signs (1:19-12:50), the Book of exaltation (13:1-20:31) and an epilogue (Chapter 21). In the book HERO, children and adults alike, can adventure with Eli and Saba (Eli’s Grandfather) on a wild ride of storytelling and discovery, and discover how John’s Gospel intentionally pairs John the Baptist's ministry with Elijah, and Jesus’ ministry with Elisha.
