FREEDOM From Porn For WomenExemplo
FREEDOM from self-hate
Maybe you’ve never experienced real love. Maybe you lacked the love of an earthly father or experienced abuse from men. We have already talked about how feelings can play tricks on us and you may even feel unworthy of love, especially God’s. After months or years of struggling with porn addiction, you may ask, “How could God love a sinner like me?”
Let me share good news with you. God loves you so much and desires to know you personally. So much so that He sent Jesus to die for you on the cross for your sins so that you could have a relationship with Him. Nothing you do will cause God to love you any more or less. He loves you perfectly even while you are broken. Rest in the joy in finding Him waiting for you without the shame of porn hanging over you.
Because of this good news, you can find freedom from self-hate. Because of Christ’s love for you, you can begin to love yourself. I know this is hard to believe but it is God’s truth.
Watching porn makes all this harder to accept. Porn and sex addictions are ultimately intimacy disorders. God has created us for intimate relationships, but when intimacy is broken we find substitutes that are broken and false. You may have started because you were desperate to feel loved. This fake relationship leads to self-hate and unrealistic desires about yourself and others.
You can be free from porn addiction because Jesus’s death on the cross was for all your sins. Jesus died to give you freedom. He took on all your shame and guilt to make you white as snow. Right now, you might be filled with self-hate, but you can experience freedom because of His death.
Jesus is our Savior, Redeemer, and Lover, and because of this we are free.
Father God, I am not happy with myself and seek fulfillment in the wrong places. Help me see myself as you see me. Help me feel your perfect love and turn to your truth rather than the temporary and false feelings that porn offers. Amen.

This inspiring reading plan is for women that struggle with pornography and seek FREEDOM. God has created each of us with a desire for intimacy.
