Don’t WorryExemplo

Don’t Worry

Dia 2 de 3

My visit to the doctor for a health concern turned out to be more anxious than I had anticipated. The doctor instructed me to undergo a procedure followed by further examination tests to rule out a serious illness. The time of waiting for both the procedure to be done and its expected results felt anxious and overwhelming.

We all experience anxiety at some point, or maybe you are experiencing it right now. In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches us to trust God, who cares for us deeply.

Jesus invites us to observe the natural world, the birds, the flowers, and the grass. The whole of creation speaks of an all-powerful Creator. If God is infinitely powerful to create the world, how much more power does He hold over our circumstances? Therefore, we do not need to be anxious.

Jesus invites us to observe the Character of God. When we look at creation, we see God being compassionate. He provides for the birds and dresses the flowers with more beauty than even the wealthiest king. If He cares for them, how much more does He care for us? So, we ought not to worry.

Jesus goes on to say that God, the Creator, is also our Heavenly Father who loves and values us. Because we are valuable to Him, He chose to make us in His image, unlike the rest of His creation. And because He loved us, He sent His only Son into this world to die on the cross for our failures. Jesus died and rose again so that we may live eternally with Him. If God cares to do greater things for us, won’t He do the lesser?

Today, are there issues bothering you?

Memorize God’s Word and His promise for every fear or write them down as Promise Cards and carry them with you. The next time you find yourself anxious, remember God’s promises, read them out loud and find encouragement in a Heavenly Father who cares for you.
