Over the TopExemplo
Bruce Lee was one of the most skilled martial artists in history. Not only was he a movie legend, but he was also an experienced teacher. When reflecting on how he taught, he said. "A teacher is never a giver of truth; he is a guide, a pointer to the truth that each student must find for himself." This is true not only in the context of martial arts but also in other areas of life, including what it looks like to invite others to follow Jesus.
In 1 Thessalonians, the apostle Paul shares his story of following Jesus. He shows that when you share your story, you invite others to consider how they may encounter Jesus, too. He hopes they live their lives and share their stories with others in ways that help guide them to experience the transformative power of the gospel themselves.
You can be generous by sharing the good news of God's love and grace with others. This means giving your time, resources, and words to help guide others toward experiencing a similar friendship you have found in Jesus. Scripture invites you to be friends with people in a way that creates curiosity about the God you follow while also being ready to share, with humility and kindness, how Jesus has changed you.
So, take a hint from Bruce Lee and look at the example of the apostle Paul. Guide people to experience the person of Jesus themselves, and let him take it from here.

Have you ever seen an action movie where the stunts became more and more outrageous? Each stunt gets more extreme as the movie continues to push the limits of what to expect. What if that same mindset inspired us to live differently in our lives? What if we looked to God for ways to be extreme and do the unexpected in places like generosity?
