Beyond BeliefExemplo
Do you ever have moments in life where you just feel lost? Or maybe it's less like you're lost and more like you're just floating along without any solid direction. In these moments, it might be helpful to remember this story from Exodus.
We already know God was on a mission to rescue the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt. God was following through on a promise to make them a blessing to those around them, but once God got them out of Egypt, things were still tricky.
Because they were so far from the home they knew, some people started to wonder if God actually had a plan at all. They were still afraid of being chased down by the Egyptians, and, eventually, Pharaoh's army did catch up with them. The Israelites found themselves trapped between this army and the Red Sea. They felt abandoned and lost, so they cried out to God. When they did, God gave them a way out and guided them into the next chapter of their lives.
When we feel like we're lost or just floating along through life, we can look to God for help. We can admit we feel lost and look for the things that remind us of God's presence. Once we do, we can ask God to help us and trust God to step in and guide us through whatever we're experiencing. God will always be there to guide us whether we're feeling trapped or lost. When you doubt, God still offers guidance.

The Bible is full of statements and stories that seem "beyond belief." Some sound too miraculous — like, did God really split a whole sea in half? Other things sound too good to be true — like, is God really as loving, patient, or powerful as Scripture says? If you've ever wondered if what the Bible says is really worth believing, this devotional is for you.
