God Fills in the GapsExemplo
The emptiness of the world
At the beginning of Genesis 1, the Bible shows us that "disorder and emptiness" were housed in creation. But, the Lord is a God of order and loathes a void. Glory to God!
In the very creation there are paradigms of God filling the gaps:
1. On the first day, God created day and night. He filled the void.
2. On the second day, God made the firmament. He filled the void.
3. On the third day, God separated the land from the waters. He filled the void of the earth with plants.
4. On the fourth day, God created the sun, moon, and stars. He filled the void of the firmament with the heavenly bodies.
5. On the fifth day, God created the animals of the sea and the birds. He filled the void of the seas and the sky.
6. On the sixth day, God created the land animals and man. He filled the emptiness of the earth.
7. On the seventh day, God rested. He filled the emptiness of man by setting aside a day to consecrate it for Him.
The Lord knows how to fill in the gaps. Each void that he filled was "good in a great way". This was evidenced in creation; he occupied each of the sectors where chaos and disorder reigned.
Don't you think that the Lord can also discipline and fill your gaps?
