God Sees You!Exemplo
The Need to Be Known
Do you ever feel like you are not as cool as your other friends? Do you find yourself wishing you could be more like someone else? Or worse yet, do you feel forgotten by God?
We have a habit of comparing ourselves to others. And it is a natural feeling to want to be recognized as special and worthwhile. So, it’s certainly reassuring to read Luke 12:6b which says “Yet not one of the sparrows are forgotten by God.”
Do you know how many sparrows there are in the world? They’re everywhere! Sparrows are one of the most common birds on earth. Generally sparrows aren’t fussy eaters. They like to eat insects, but prefer grains, such as crops and plants. Because of this, they tend to look to humans for their food sources to survive. Unfortunately, this has given them a reputation of being a nuisance.
However, in biblical times, sparrows were often sold in bunches. They were considered valuable. It even says five sparrows were sold for two pennies (Luke 12:6a). You received a freebie sparrow for buying four! Sadly, in today’s world most sparrows are overlooked. They are seen as very ordinary birds. But in God’s economy there is no ordinary anything.
The Bible mentions God is taking care of each sparrow individually, and not one of them falls without Him knowing about it. God cares about every bird and human, even every type of bird and every type of human. His scope of caring is beyond what we can see or comprehend.
God already sees you as valuable! He loves you and cares about you so much. The Bible says, “He created man in His own image and His own likeness.” (Genesis 1:27) Truth is we are His magnum opus which means “a great work.” Like a work of great art, He considers humans His greatest achievement.
God notices you.
God sees you.
He hears you.
You’re valuable to God.
God notices you!
Do you see yourself as valuable? Or do you feel like a sparrow, constantly comparing yourself to the prettier “birds” in the world?
