Cultivating an Attitude of Thanksgiving and GratitudeExemplo
Life Becomes Rich With An Attitude of Thanksgiving and Gratitude.
God is worthy of your praise, thanksgiving, and devotion as His love for you endures forever!
He is worthy of devoting your life to Him serving Him with a whole heart, mind, soul, and spirit!
When you pray...praise and thank Him for all that He's done and all He continues to do in and through you!
Praise Him through every season! Through the seasons of peace and the seasons of storms.
Just like a farmer must cultivate the soil each season to grow crops, we must cultivate our heart, mind, and soul to grow an attitude of gratitude and thanksgiving!
“It is only with gratitude that life becomes rich!”-Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Life is far richer than what money can bring when we turn our hearts and minds toward God through an attitude of gratitude and thanksgiving.
Don't wait for holidays or some other special occasion to express praise, gratitude, and thanksgiving to Him!
Make it a habit when you take your first breath in the morning and open your eyes...breathe out thanksgiving to Him for life and a new day to serve Him!
Never stop singing and speaking His praises and expressing thanksgiving and gratitude to Him!
Here’s a Thanksgiving and Gratitude Challenge: I’d like to encourage you to pause each day for at least one week and do the following:
1. List out what you're thankful and grateful for: Spend a few minutes each day writing down what you’re thankful for.
Start with what you’re thankful to God for. For example:
- This could include things you’re learning through scripture and want to thank Him for.
- This could also include thanking Him for Who He Is, His Love, Character, Sovereignty, Power, Salvation and more.
- This could include the day-to-day things of life such as food, clothing, and shelter.
- And this could include the people and things you’re thankful for.
2. Give Thanks to God: Spend time in prayer Praising and Thanking God for the daily list you’ll create and more!
3. Give Thanks to The People You’re thankful for.
- Simply tell them you’re thankful for them and what you’re thankful for. This could be through a written note or card, a text or other message, or in person.
Suggestion To Get Started With:
- Read, study, take to heart today’s scriptures.
- Consider acting on the Thanksgiving and Gratitude Challenge.
- Live out the biblical definitions of thanksgiving and gratitude.
