Starting AnewExemplo
The idea of a reset can feel intimidating if we don't know what to do to get started. So today, I would like to share a prayer to help you. Please use this prayer as a guide, but feel free to make it your own.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for my sins.
Thank You for new life and the hope of glory found in Your love for me.
Lord, You are mighty and awesome. You are the Giver of all good and perfect gifts. You are perfect in all of Your ways. There is not a moment when You do not see me. Thank You that Your eyes are always upon me.
I confess and repent for anything I have said, done, or thought that was unpleasing to You. I ask for Your forgiveness for allowing guilt and regret to occupy space in my heart. I know that there is no room for them; there is only room for Your love, and I want to experience Your love in a deeper way.
You are such a loving Father. There is no guilt, shame, or regret in You and therefore should be none in me. When You look at me, You see Your perfect Son, Jesus, and I am forever thankful for His exchange and sacrifice.
Today, dear Lord, help me receive the restoration that You have already given me. I am reminded of how You restored Peter and gave him a position of honor because Your nature is to forgive and restore when we have a repentant heart.
I am constantly shown in Your Word how You turn moments of brokenness into moments of beauty. I want this truth to exist in my life.
Lord, in any area where I allow regret, inadequacy, or lies to hinder me from fully experiencing what You intend for me, I give You permission to take over.
I want to live a life that is fully surrendered to You.
So, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I declare that regret and guilt are no longer my portion. I release them in Jesus’ name, and I receive Your restoration and honor.
Lord, pour out Your Spirit upon me and lead me along Your path. Help me to see myself the way You see me, living in the reflection of Your love.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Now, it’s time to pick up where you left off and live for Jesus!
