Revival GenerationExemplo
When you hear the word repentance you might think of confessing sin or apologizing to God. Certainly, confessing sin and apologizing to God is part of it. However, biblical repentance is much more than those two things. It’s impossible to have revival without true repentance.
REPENTANCE is rooted in the Greek word metanoia, which is a change of mind and a change of heart that will lead to a change in lifestyle.
The seven sons of Sceva were traveling exorcists. These seven brothers would find someone who was demon-possessed and, for a sum of money, would try to cast out the demon. For these brothers, it was a business. However, they’d heard about Jesus through the ministry of Paul. When they saw the power associated with Jesus, they wanted some of it for themselves. So, they began to use the name of Jesus as a part of their business plan. They didn’t know Jesus or worship Him.
In Acts 19:11-20, you see many people in Ephesus experience true repentance. The evidence of this was the change that happened in their lifestyles. The people of Ephesus realized Jesus was truly better than anything they had invested their lives in before. They wanted to know Him, love Him, and worship Him above all, so everything that was going to hinder that had to go.
A lifestyle of repentance is a moment by moment realization that Jesus is better than anything that may trip you up as you follow Him. When temptation comes, remember in that moment that Jesus is better. Eventually, moments will turn into years of following Jesus. It doesn’t mean that you will be perfect, but you will be made different because the Spirit inside you will be daily changing your heart and mind to be more like Jesus.

Our world is divided in almost every way imaginable—religion, politics, race, views on sexuality, and much more. It might not seem like the time is right for a movement of God. On the contrary, now is the perfect time for revival. Not the emotional, momentary type that comes and goes, but a revival that changes hearts. Can He do it again? Yes, He can!
