Stop Living Like an ImposterExemplo
Compromised.
Have you ever felt underqualified? Worried that at some point you will be discovered as the fraud you feel?
Convinced you are not worthy of the blessing and favour you have received or even the dreams you have in your heart?
Imposter syndrome is crippling.
It can make you paranoid and self-doubting and if allowed to stay hidden under the surface paralysed from moving forward.
At its worst it draws you into a life of becoming an imposter because you pretend to be someone you are not just to get through the season you are in, and at the beginning stages it whispers into your ear you are not up for the task in front of you, so you may as well give up now.
If that is how you are feeling you are not alone. So many people battle with this and through this devotional, we will learn from the life of Jacob who for many years lived as an imposter until he was finally ready to accept who he was and become who God intended him to be.
A quick note from me- I know how you are feeling. This crippled me for many years. I silently suffered from feelings of inadequacy. I wasn’t confident in my calling. So can I share one thing with you…. don’t fake it until you make it. Because when you ‘make it’ you will feel fake!
I am believing that over the next few days together as we look at the life of Jacob you will come to realise what a waste of your time it is to feel this way. I pray this devotional is a blessing to you and your ‘do-over’ (that will make sense on day 4) so you can move forward confident in who you are, ready to become all God has made you to be.
Today you will dive right into the middle of Jacob's story. In this passage, you will see how his character goes from content to compromised.
