God's Plan With the NightExemplo
Predictive dreams.
One of the most common mistakes about dreams is that every dream of God is predictive. This is not true. God is much greater than only the future! Probably it is our curiosity that longs for a glimpse of the times ahead. It occupies people endlessly. One pulls a card every day that would say something about the future; another believes that the moon knows exactly where she’s going, and someone else reads the horoscope every week in the hope of knowing something more about the time to come. God knows about that curiosity and He writes about it in Scripture. He points us to the One source that holds our past, present, and future in His hands.
God can give predictive dreams, absolutely! He gave them to His servant Daniël and also to King Nebuchadnezzar, who didn’t believe in God. God even gave Joseph two dreams about his future kingship. No matter how much his family hated him for this promise, the future tells us that it all took place according to God’s plan.
You can’t earn predictive dreams; God gives them to whomever He wants. Predictive dreams give you faith and expectation for what is to come and prepare you for the future. They are a beautiful gift of grace from God. Whether you have seen a glimpse of them or not, one thing is for sure: God has a hopeful future in store for you!
