Disappointment: When Life Gives You Lemons Exemplo
Have you been disappointed today?
Honestly, I have. Today is a rather quiet day, and I just wanted to write these words in peace, but no matter what text I started, I couldn't finish it because my thoughts didn’t seem important..
Such days are rare for me, so disappointment automatically crept in: "God, I took time specifically to bless others through these texts...and you're leaving me hanging."
Here's a serious question: Could it be that we're disappointed because we've let ourselves be deceived?
I had indeed been deceived that day, because God didn't want me to write more texts for others; He just wanted more time with me.
God doesn't always want more of your achievements; He wants a relationship with you.
And this isn't about performance pressure. The danger can also look like this: If I do more, then it can help more people. And once you start to engage in helping people in need, you'll quickly realize there's endless work here.
Sometimes, like in my moment of writing this, God lets you experience disappointment in your good and valuable work so you come to your senses.
"I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me…" (Isaiah 45:5 NIV)
Whatever you have in mind and however you want to help others, God wants to equip you for it. And to be equipped, you first have to visit the One who knows what you need.
Could it be that the disappointment you're experiencing right now is not really disappointment, but a reminder that maybe you should first let Him equip you for the next step?
You are a miracle!

There is a saying: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. We are to make the best of the most disappointing times and situations. But what happens when you just don’t want to accept disappointment?
