How to Know if You Are a True ChristianExemplo
Day 4: The Importance of Being a True Christian
We should never aim to be better at Christianity, we should aim to be better at surrendering to the Holy Spirit. We must recognize that being a true Christian is not about our works or how well we look the part. This is explained to us in Matthew 7:21-23.
The Natural Person and The Carnal Christian live lifestyles that grieve the heart of the Father. He did not send His only begotten Son to earth to live a perfect life and die for the sins of humanity just for them to half-heartedly accept and live for Him.
No, His sacrifice was for us to be able to have full access to Him and His benefits. He is peace, joy, safety, strength, clarity, comfort, provision, healing, love, and salvation!
When we settle into the lifestyles of The Natural Person and The Carnal Christian, not only do we forfeit our access to God, but we ultimately choose the way of destruction.
Come on! Let’s take a step deeper and venture into the life of The True Christian!
Pray this with me:
Lord, thank you for your unfailing love and faithfulness to me even when my life grieved you. I surrender my life fully to you! Today, I give you a fresh yes. I say yes to seeking you and living a life pleasing to you. I say yes to your processing and refinement. Father, I lay down a self-centered life and I commit myself to your will. Give me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Wash me with your word and guide me on the narrow path to life. Continue to walk with me and teach me how to love and honor you. Help me not focus on doing the right things, but help me to always remain focused on intimacy with you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
